By the initiative of the Gremial Federation
of Trade and Industry, on July 31st 1958, the Chamber of Foreign Trade
of Rosario was created. On that time, Mr. Ernesto Stiefel was chosen
to preside the Institution as its first President, joined by businessmen,
industrials and Foreign Trade services companies.
The initial idea of its founders was to create an entity that would
unify efforts to gather the information and facilitate the necessary
contacts to generate international trade opportunities, converging
into a single Institution dedicated to the realisation of projects
for the progress of those who works for international trade, and specially
for small and medium enterprises from Rosario and its region.
The Chamber of Foreign Trade of Rosario is a non profit civil institution
without official contributions of any kind in its budget, being financed
entirely by its members' quotas.
Our Institution has been recognised by its history in international
trade with the "Gold Mercury International Award" on the
XII Peace and Co-operation Conference (1982).
Due to more than 40 years of work the Chamber can guarantee that products
and services enterprises, that carry out business with foreign firms,
are counting on a serious entity in our city that supports and advises
in the path to progress and achievement
